Potions - Calla and Wren
This short follows a moment in the lives of Calla, the fairy, and Wren, the witch. It is not explicit here, but the two of them are in a loving relationship.
I worked on this project over the span of 6 months, my first experience fully and professionally modeling, texturing, and rigging characters. I created this during my internship with Impossible Engine, with their advice and supervision.

Concepts
I began the short with a proposal deck, which I created in In Design.
Characters
The second step was designing the characters and the setting.
When I design characters, I try to do all that I can to make sure that they are not just a basic, stereotypical beauty standard.
Calla, while her body type is very conventionally attractive, has vitiligo and the color of her skin and hair are anything but stereotypical. Wren is a classic human, but she is very tall, skinny, has a big nose, and her body type is more rectangular.

As of now, this is as far as I have gotten into this project. Version 2 above is the final styling that I decided on. I originally wanted to give it a watercolor feel, which is where the odd texturing in version 1 came from.
Overall, I am very happy with what I have gotten to do with this project, and I really hope that I can make it better in the future.
