Remeshing

The mesh of a 3D character is very important. It determines how complex the character is, and controls how they move. In Blender, there is an option to automatically remesh. I tried this, and my models looked terrible. So, I instead went through and did it by hand.

I started out learning how to remesh on the hair of the characters, a terrible choice. Once I moved onto the body and was able to use a mirror modifyier, it got a whole lot easier.

While this looks pretty funky, this worked out pretty well. After remeshing the entirety of both characters, I created and remeshed clothes. Then, I used the automatic UV unwrapping that Blender has. UV unwrapping is when all of the polygons are taken and flattened out into an image, readying the character for texturing.
